Finances
Everyone understands that the cost of living and the costs to provide housing, board and activities has gone up dramatically. Our cost for utilities, food and staffing continues to grow. In addition we have liability insurance for all of our members, parent volunteers and involved alumni. In addition to our general liability policies, we also have a special accident policy to assist any members who are hurt in fraternity related activities, like intramurals or IFC sports. This year you will find your house bill broken down with an additional line item for insurance. This is to bring attention to the amount we pay just for insurance. The live in rates continue to be $3995.00 for the fall semester. In addition, there is the insurance charge for complete coverage. Details on our insurance programs are in the chapter office. Townsmen charges this year include the insurance in the overall total.
Prior to move in, everyone must have a signed housing agreement on file with the House Director. Payments are due prior to move in.
The finances of the chapter are expected to be very challenging this year. Our fixed costs remain or increase with little concern for the number of people we serve. Our food costs continue to expand, and this is one priority area we have for the overall wellbeing of your son. Delta Chi has one of the best meal plans on campus, something we are very proud of. If you have any questions or need more information, please feel free to ask. We attempt to maintain an open book financial accounting report.
Included with this letter is your fall house bill. All payments can be made online at www.DeltaChiArizona.com or mailed. If you mail, the address has changed and we are now using a secure mailbox. Payments can be sent to:
The Delta Chi Fraternity
1718 East Speedway Blvd, #102
Tucson, AZ 85719
Prompt payment of the bills will directly benefit your son. A copy of our operating budget will be posted online by August 15th. Wendtland and Associates will continue to prepare our tax returns and financial statements but the day to day bookkeeping activities will be handled in house for this year.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need more information on anything. My e mail is Mike@ExpressTees.com and my home phone is 714-897-4345. I do have young children so I don’t usually pick up when it’s bedtime for them. Shoot me an e-mail and I usually am able to respond the same day.
